How to Cancel Zety (2026): Stop Renewals and Get a Refund

To cancel Zety, sign in, open your account settings and cancel the subscription, or call Zety at 800-985-7561 (US) or use its live chat. Cancel before the next four-week renewal to avoid the $25.95 charge. For money back, email support@zety.com within 7 days of paying: Zety's FAQ promises a full refund in that window.

Why you were charged $25.95

Zety's Pro Package starts with a 14-day trial for $1.95. In the pricing page's words, "After 14 days, auto-renews at $25.95 billed every 4 weeks. Cancel anytime." The annual package is $71.40 paid at once, and it also renews each year.

Two things trip people up:

• Four weeks isn't a month. Billing every 28 days means 13 charges a year, and the date moves earlier each month. Don't assume "the 15th" is safe.
• Canceling stops the next charge, not the last one. Whether you get the last charge back depends on timing (see the refund section).

How to cancel your Zety subscription online

1. Sign in at zety.com.
2. Open the account menu (top right) and go to Settings.
3. Find your subscription and choose to cancel it.
4. Confirm, then watch for a confirmation email with a cancellation number. Zety's terms say it sends one for every cancellation, and that you should contact customer service if it doesn't arrive.
5. Take a screenshot of the confirmation screen.

Zety's terms describe the same route: "You may cancel your subscription anytime by contacting our customer service department or by going to the online cancel page under your settings page."

How to cancel Zety by phone, chat or email

If the cancel option is missing, or a renewal is close:

• Phone: 800-985-7561 in the US, per Zety's contact page. The page lists separate numbers for other countries.
• Live chat: from the same contact page.
• Email: support@zety.com.

A script that works: "Please cancel my subscription now, confirm in writing that auto-renewal is off, and tell me whether I'm eligible for a refund." Keep the reply.

How to get a Zety refund

Zety's cancellation FAQ sets out two windows, and both require an email request:

The terms are stricter than the FAQ: they say Zety "does not guarantee refunds" and that "you may request a refund if notice of cancellation of your subscription is provided before the end of the initial period." Read together, email support@zety.com during the first 7 days, ideally during the 14-day trial, and before you download anything if you want a refund later.

How to delete your Zety account

Canceling doesn't delete your account. Zety's terms say you can close your account and delete your data at builder.zety.com/personal-data or through customer service. Its privacy policy also accepts deletion requests by email at privacy@bold.com. Cancel the subscription first, then delete.

Save your resume before you cancel

Zety's terms say registered users can still view and edit their documents without a subscription, but "will not be able to print, download or share" them. The free plan's plain-text (.txt) download still works, so:

1. Download your resume as .txt while signed in, or copy every section into a document.
2. Save any cover letters the same way.
3. Then cancel.
