What Resume Genius does well
Resume Genius has a guided builder, an AI summary generator, a resume checker and a large free template library: its FAQ says it offers 240+ free resume templates for Word and Google Docs that you can fill out yourself (is Resume Genius free?). Its cover letter builder downloads PDF, Word and TXT on the free plan (pricing), which most builders don't offer.
Why people look for an alternative
- The resume download is the paid step. The free resume builder downloads TXT only; PDF and Word need a paid plan.
- The trial renews. $2.95 for 14 days, then $23.95 billed every four weeks, 13 times a year. The annual option is $95.40 for 12 months.
- Refunds are tied to the first 14 days. The pricing page promises a full refund if you ask within 14 days.
