What Enhancv's free plan includes

Enhancv's help article on the free version lists it plainly:

Enhancv downloads resumes as PDF only. Its pricing FAQ explains that Word can change the formatting, so it doesn't offer a .docx file.

So the honest answer to "is Enhancv free?" is: free to try for a week, branded, and limited to 12 items. It's a trial with a long runway rather than a free plan you can keep.

Enhancv pricing in 2026

All three renew automatically. Enhancv's article on its Pro plans says "every subscription is renewed automatically for the new billing period except if the user cancels," and that you're charged for the whole period at the start of it. Charges show up on your statement as PADDLE ENHANCV*.

Which plan is cheapest depends on your search. The median unemployed person in the US had been looking for 11.5 weeks in September 2026 (BLS Table A-12). Three months of the monthly plan costs $117, so the $69 quarterly plan is the better buy if you expect to need Pro for more than two months.

How to cancel Enhancv

Enhancv's help center gives the steps for canceling and stopping future charges:

1. Sign in and open the Billing page.
2. Click Cancel Subscription.
3. Answer the short survey and click Continue.
4. Confirm the cancellation.
5. Refresh the Billing page and check that it says Canceled, with the date your Pro access ends.

You keep Pro until the end of the period you paid for. After that your account becomes read-only: you can still download existing documents but can't save new edits. Canceling doesn't unsubscribe you from Enhancv's newsletter, so do that separately on your profile page.

Can you get a refund from Enhancv?

It depends on the plan. Enhancv's refund article says:

• Monthly plans: "Any monthly fees paid hereunder are non-refundable and non-cancelable."
• Quarterly and semiannual plans: if you stop early, you "might be eligible for a partial pro-rated refund." You're charged the monthly price for the months you used, and Enhancv refunds the difference.
• Canceling doesn't trigger a refund. Email help@enhancv.com with your account email and receipt or the PADDLE* ENHANCV payment reference.

A worked example, by our reading of that policy: you pay $69 for a quarter and stop after one month. One month at the $39 monthly price is $39, so the difference is $30. Stop a $99 semiannual plan after two months, and two months at $39 is $78, leaving $21.

The pricing page adds that if Enhancv makes a mistake or something breaks, "we can offer you a refund."
