CVkungen and Cowrite Alternatives for Swedish CVs (2026)

CVkungen is a Swedish CV builder from the Resume.io family: building is free, but the free plan downloads one CV as plain text, and a PDF of most templates needs a 19 kr, 7-day trial that renews at 340 kr every four weeks. Cowrite is an AI CV service that Fackförbundet ST gives its members free. The alternatives below fit people who want neither.

Disclosure: ResumeFast, one of the alternatives, is our product. CVkungen's prices are from its pricing page as shown in Sweden on October 6, 2026; Cowrite's details are from Fackförbundet ST's member page.

What CVkungen offers

CVkungen's footer says it's part of a product family, and its cookie banner names Resume.io and its partners, so it's Resume.io's Swedish site. It has 25+ templates, AI-written phrase suggestions and templates built for applicant tracking systems, per its home page.

The pricing FAQ explains the trial: if you don't cancel within 7 days, it converts automatically to the monthly premium membership. If your search will run a few months, the 900 kr six-month plan is cheaper than four-week billing and needs no cancellation. Over 24 weeks, four-week billing costs the 19 kr trial plus six charges of 340 kr, 2,059 kr in all.

What Cowrite offers

Cowrite is an AI service that drafts a CV and cover letter (personligt brev) in Swedish and English from your answers, an uploaded CV or your LinkedIn profile, and the job ad. Members of Fackförbundet ST get it free; the union's page also lists CV review, interview practice and career guidance, with PDF export. Members sign in on Mina sidor with BankID.

The catch is access: it's a member benefit, not a public product. ST says people joining as working members for the first time get their first three months free. If you belong to a different union, check its member benefits before paying for a builder.

Alternatives compared

Novoresume and Kickresume prices are what their pricing pages showed from Sweden on October 6, 2026. For US-dollar prices of 15 builders, see our resume builder pricing comparison.

1. ResumeFast: unlimited CVs free, first file free

Ours, so weigh it accordingly.

Build as many CVs and cover letters as you need, in Swedish or English, with a photo, 10 AI credits and one ATS score check a month, all free. Your first PDF or Word download is free and plain text is always free. After that first file, PDF and Word need Pro at $6.95 a month, charged in US dollars, billed monthly with no trial.

Where CVkungen and Cowrite are better: both work in Swedish from start to finish. ResumeFast's interface is in English, so you type Swedish content and section headings into an English editor.

2. Novoresume: pay once in kronor

Novoresume showed 249 kr for a month, 449 kr for three months and 1,499 kr for a year when we opened its pricing page from Sweden. None of them renew. Its free plan is one version of a one-page CV, which suits students and short careers. More in is Novoresume free?

3. Europass: free, official and plain

The EU's Europass CV editor is free and widely recognized across Europe, though its layout is plain and conservative. Our Europass CV guide explains when it helps and when a regular CV reads better.

4. Kickresume: designs, priced in euros

Kickresume's free plan gives 4 basic templates with downloads as often as you like. From Sweden its premium plans showed as €24 a month, €54 a quarter or €96 a year, with a 14-day money-back guarantee. Details in is Kickresume free?
